Rocky's Memorial

Rocky Herbert
Rocky was one of the best foundations in the leather community. He mentored people that were interested in the leather community, who otherwise would have admired from a far. He was a big brother and leader to many pledges in an “Old Guard” club. Rocky was an officer for many years continuing to assist in the endeavors of the club he was representing. He never wavered in what he believed in and stood strong to keep traditions alive but helped in creating new ones as the future deemed fit. Rocky taught the traditions this community holds and how to stay strong at times of disappointments. He encouraged, lived and loved the special brotherhood this community offers.
Some people are in the leather community for the leather aspect, while others love the leather but also “get it!” Rocky knew once you become a part of this very unique family it is unconditional love. He was one of our brothers who “got it” and could not wait to share it with others.
Rocky with his knowledge of both law and leather became a part of a very special core of both men and women who founded a unique leather and levi club called The Crescent City Outlaws. With the help of six other people the bylaws were written and the club became very quickly supported by our leather family. The club continues to go in the direction we all planned but, as with many clubs founding members leave to pursue other endeavors. This was not the case with Rocky. He was a part of The Crescent City Outlaws until his illness would overcome him.
Special Thanks To Chewtoy (David) for helping Rocky continue to be a part of us until the end! We all know that he is on a Big Disco Floor in Heaven dancing!
The leather community has lost a great inspirational brother, but his teaching and mentoring he shared with so many others will continue because of what he instilled in us. His club colors will be framed and hung in our home bar.
